Jean Sibelius / Jan Sibelius (a part II)

the First large composition of Sibeliusa arises these years. It is a vokalno-symphonic poem "-ѕыыхЁтю" which plot is borrowed from "-рыхтры№".

Evening of a premiere five-private "-ѕыыхЁтю" became the triumphal beginning of a way of Sibeliusa as national composer. The further destiny "-ѕыыхЁтю" it is strange. Despite success in evening of the first execution, the composer has withdrawn the score manuscript, orchestral parties from use and has subjected them more than to a semicentenial imprisonment. Following execution "-ѕыыхЁтю" has taken place only after death of the great musician.

Throughout many years images "-рыхтры№" disturb creative imagination of the composer. There are four symphonic legends: "-хььшэъ щэхэ and maidens from РррЁш" "-хььшэъ щэхэ in Кѕюэхых" "Кѕюэхыіёъшщ ыхсхфі" "-ючтЁрЁхэшх -хььшэъ щэхэр"; behind them - symphonic imagination "-юёі ¤ю§іюы№". In the images, related to heroes "-рыхтры№" other scores of Sibeliusa are full also: symphonic poems "Ишэы эфш " "…рЁф" "Ррур" and "Кряшюыр" - one of last large compositions of the composer. Continuing a line program simfonizma, typical for neo-romantic school (Wagner, Sheet, Rihard Strauss), Sibelius goes the way. Among its program cloths we meet such in which plot, the plot, vital events of heroes are in details concretised in the literary program or are widely known, thanks to acquaintance of listeners to literary primary sources ("-рыхтрыр") . But also in these cases of Sibelius less all is anxious by reproduction of details in music. The thematic material is not split up, does not go "т ѕёыѕцхэшх" to the poetic or prosaic text. Themes of the majority of the symphonic poems based on the heroic epos, remind the ancient cyclopean constructions combined from massive blocks and thus keeping surprising and in millenia harmony admiring us.

Never running into stylisation of music of the left centuries, Sibelius often addresses to archaic turns of melodies, and near to them, like other great Scandinavian, Grieg, takes any case to say some musical quatrains about the nature. So, on a severe landscape "¶шэёъш§ calm ёъры" suddenly because of a dense veil of clouds the sun beam falls, and all finds other character. Never running in importunate "цштюяшёэюё=і" Sibelius has created the whole gallery of severe and fine sound landscapes of the native land in many orchestral and chamber products.

Extremely interesting and important statement of the composer about a problem of folklore and individual creativity Has remained: "¦ю  music in "-ѕыыхЁтю" is so typical and true embodiment of the Finnish nature and the Finnish soul that many spoke, as if I used in it original national melodies, in particular cadences and intonations old runopevtsev. But in "-ѕыыхЁтю" I did not address to them as it assumed, for that simple reason that at that time... I at all was not a sign with execution Ёѕэ". This statement with confidence can be carried to all creativity of the composer for which were most typical naturalness, a spontaneity of musical expression, and at all citing of national tunes.

As well in music of Sibeliusa the patriotic idea organically sounds. Not off and on there are the products singing of a native land. This velichivaja and infinitely various theme passes through the most part of the music written to it.

Years of blossoming of a creative power of Sibeliusa coincide with the intense period of history of the Finnish society. By the XIX-th century end the imperial government has spent a number of the measures, having the purpose to strangle those scanty "ётюсюф№" which have been granted in due time Grand duchy Finnish. Henceforth Finland got to conditions of the most severe censorship, lost national forms of self-management, Bobrikova was forced to reckon with a legislative arbitrariness of the governor general of Finland. The new facts of great-power nationalism of the imperial authorities have caused rough protests.

Soon after publication of the reactionary imperial manifesto, in the beginning of 1899, there was an event, Sibelius became one of which central figures. The circle of patriotically set up Finnish intelligency has organised the evening which program included different numbers, including performance of a symphonic orchestra. For it Sibelius has written the music accompanying recitation and "гшт№х ърЁ=шэ№" having all popjatnyj symbolical sense. The success was noisy. But the greatest enthusiasm was caused by a symphonic poem "Ишэы эфш " a role of the ending of a suite playing that evening "гшт№§ ърЁ=шэ". As one of historians of the Finnish music specifies, "сыруюфрЁ  to this composition all world has learnt that in the far North there live the people, small, but courageously struggling for the ёѕЁхё=тютрэшх".

The Person with wide humanist views, the original patriot, alien any signs of nationalism, Sibelius highly appreciated music of Russian composers. Roman-korsakov, Borodin, Tchaikovsky were especially close to it, and with Glazunov it was connected tesnejshaja by friendship. "Ръюыіъю unforgettable evenings we have spent with Glazunov in Petersburg and to Helsinki as much we played the friend фЁѕуѕ" - recollected Sibelius.

In the late nineties in a life of Sibeliusa there was other important event. The Finnish government declared its lifelong grant-aided student. It has given the chance to it to be given entirely to creativity, having released from pedagogical work and other kinds of musical activity to which he has been compelled to address. Having lodged in Jarvenpjaja (37 kilometres from Helsinki), in the house, in honour of the wife named "+щэюыр" (the house of Ajno), Sibelius all has left in the world of the musical images. Here, in Ajnole, the big and best part of its products has been created.

We Will look back that today we name "=тюЁёхёъшь эрёыхфшхь" Yana Sibeliusa, since chamber music. He has written about ninety romances, mainly on verses of Finnish poet Runeberga. In these vocal miniatures that intimacy of timid lyrics which associates with Grieg's romancing creativity affects.

The Passion to chamber tool music in the course of time has not settled. To the different periods of Sibelius writes products of different scales from the large cyclic form of a quartet, a piano sonata to piano, violin, violonchelnyh miniatures: novellett, bagatelej, dances, characteristic plays.

Absolutely as other Sibelius in choral music where along with rather large forms of type of a cantata there are songs of that warehouse what name today "ьрёёют№ьш" appears;. Sibelius was guided not so much by professional choral chapels, how many on widely branched out network of amateur amateur collectives, societies, the circles long since supporting choral culture of Finland at high level. Among thirty Sibeliusa with superfluous choral compositions, are especially allocated with skill of a composition and the art importance of a cantata "-р°р native ё=Ёрэр" the University cantata, "¤хёэі чхьыш" and "+шьэ чхьых" "¤Ёюшё§юцфхэшх юуэ " and a ballad for chorus and a symphonic orchestra "¤ыхээр  ъюЁюыхтр".
